It just can't be done! I've spent far to long sitting here wracking
my brain trying to summarize who we are, Just for whatever reason
anyone should care to know. OK, here goes ...
We were married Nov.23,1960
while I was in the Army stationed on Okinawa.
There, that's a start. If you want to know more watch the Video.
Whew! I'm glad that's over with.
Only The Beginning of An Amazing Love Story! (Brace yourself, this is some heavy stuff.)

with us "by purchasing one or both of our books. God has
blessed us and spared both of our lives for a purpose. Share in
this blessing by supporting our world outreach ministry.
We will come to your Church and
give a ten minute presentation. This includes the introductory
film you saw earlier on this page. All we ask is that after the
service we be allowed to have a table set up in either the
foyer or outside the church in order to sell our books.
Both of our stories include the
"Sinners Prayer" and Miko' s book has the entire plan of
Salvation explained in it. Our vision is to get these books in
the hands of as many people's hands as we can. Making money is
not our main purpose, however it does cost money to live.
Dec,1999 Vern and Miko answered God's call to start an evangelistic
outreach web site.
Our passion,
goal and
primary purpose is to to share the good news of how to have a
personal relationship with Christ to as many people as possible, and
to do it in a clear and understandable way.
We also present a wide variety of
resources, encouragement, and insight that will help believers to
take root spiritually and cultivate a faith that adds depth and
meaning to their lives.
Miko and I have always enjoyed working together.
For the last sixteen years we have owned our own floor service business
(Cleaning, stripping and waxing) in a chain of large supermarkets in
south east Florida along the Treasure Coast.
We never intended to
retire however I came down with a rare crippling disease that has left
me incapacitated. The many medications I had to take in order to slow
down the progresion of the dease, including 50 MG daily of Prednisone
lowered my immune system causing me to come down with a horrible case
of the Shingles that landed me in the hospital for six days. The
shingles developed into Postherpetic Neuralgia. I didn't know
anyone could have that much pain for that long.
I occasionally have a good day. A good day meaning that at least part
of the day I'm not in pain. This began about the second week of
April. It is now the second week of September.
Despite all of this, I know of no man that is as blessed as myself. It
has taken this long for me to accept what is happening to me and
learning to listen to the quiet voice of God. These words come from a
man who has a very low tolerance of pain.
We do want to thank those who are supporting us financially, and at
the same time urge you to consider buying one of our books or
making a donation. If everyone who visits this site were to send us
two dollars, or buy one book or audio CD, it would pay all of our
expenses.
May God Bless You INDEED!

Vern and Miko Bourne

Sharon
Hanson's story
I have
been a Christian for over 50 years and it never eases to to
amaze me how God uses people to encourage and reaffirm my
commitment to him over the years. I do not believe I
"accidentally" found the book Mama, Mama, Don't Die!
My father was assigned to serve his last seven of duty in World
War II in Okinawa. He NEVER talked about his younger days
before he died, I knew nothing of his experiences concerning
the war. He he met my Mother while he was stationed at
Camp Reynolds here in northwestern-Pa.
I went to Border's in Jan. and was about ready to give up
on finding something just about Okinawa, when I found a paper
back called With the Old Breed written about the battles at
Peleliu and Okinawa by a Marine name E.B. Sledge. It intrigued
me first about the awfulness, sickening, indescribable reality
of that period.
After my Mom passed in 1995, I inherited my most precious
treasure, Dad's letters to his mother during the four
years in the military (1942-46.) He was a beautiful descriptive
writer and the letters are full of detail of what he saw
especially after the war ended and letters were not censored.
As I read about some of his daily encounters with the natives
of Okinawa, I wanted to know more about the island and it's
people.
I Googled the subject and found two books , one of which was
book. Fumiko's there doesn't seem to be a whole lot written,
but after reading Mama, Mama, Don't Die, I don't need anymore.
I was so moved and blessed finding out that Fumiko could have
been healed emotionally from all those horrible memories. Only
a loving GOD could do that. I was even more blessed and excited
to discover your web site and finding I agree on your theology
of God, the Father,
Jesus, the Son and the precious Holy Spirit to guide and teach
us!! Thank you over and over for sharing that story. I want to
order your book now, Vern. May God continue to bless your
ministry.
We are a nondenominational Christian
ministry and have placed ourselves under the authority of a local
Christian church, "Grace Emmanuel" and Pastor Sam Chess.
What We Believe
The Scriptures,
inspired Word of God without error in original writings, are the
complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and the
divine and final authority for Christian faith and life.
In one
God, Creator of all things,
infinitely perfect and eternally existing as three persons: Father,
Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ, is true God and true
Man, was Holy Spirit conceived, was virgin born, died on a cross as
the sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into
Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God. He is now our High
Priest who intercedes for us.
The Holy Spirit's ministry is to
glorify Christ, convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, ind well, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for Godly living. Man, originally created in God's
image, disobeyed and incurred physical and spiritual death. All are
born with a sinful nature, separated from God and can be saved only
through the substitutionary death of Christ.
The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His
Resurrection are the only grounds for justification and
salvation to those who repent and admit their sin, believe the record, accept the Gift and invite Him into their lives. The True Church is composed of all
who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and there by placed by the
Holy Spirit into the universal body of Christ of which He is the
Head. Only those part of the true church are eligible for
membership in the local body.
