GLOBAL VISION

MATTHEW 28:18-20

18  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

19  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

If you've ever wondered what god wants you to do with your life, these verses paint a clear picture.  The Lord commands everyone who commits to follow him to"make desciples of all nations."  Our visionis to be global.  Our eyes are to be on reaching the world for Jesus Christ.

Obeying such a command may seem beyond our reach; and, in fact, it is.  But keep in mind that it's not beyond the Lord's reach.  Here Jesus promises to be with us as we begin, even in the smallest way within our own sphere of influence, to affect positive change in the world for him.

If you'd like to have your vision expanded, pray that God will show you the way that he would like you to begin "making desciples."  Perhaps you could pray about changing your attitude and being more of a positive force at work, spending more time influencing the lives of your children or of a person who doesn't yet know the Lord, or even participating in a short-or long-term missions trip.
