My heart is full of Joy today

Although, I smile through tears

My life has changed in many ways

And, I've had better years

My fears and worries are natural

Although, they are in vain

My heart knows it will be okay,

Why can't it tell my brain?

The valleys have been many

Some seemed never ending

But, even in those valleys

Little blessings He was sending

He is the Source of Joy!

No matter where the path may take me

Be it on a mountain top

Or, through the muck and mire

Jesus Christ, my Savior

Will never leave or forsake me

So, I am so thankful for this Joy

It is with me every day

Because I know Jesus

My heart is full of Joy today!
