What we want you to know today

is that God loves you.

  He has a plan and a purpose for your life and that there is an enemy.   "The Evil One" is what the Bible calls him.  The enemy's scheme is to take you away from the plan and purpose for which you were created.  He would have you wallow in guilt.  The Evil one who would have you be so stubborn over the choices that you've made and unwilling to look at the wrongness of them, that you won't hear God speaking to your heart.

   BUT God's gift of love, forgiveness and acceptance is free.  And, it's available to any of us who will reach out and receive it.  You can have it right now.  You can know the peace of knowing you've done business with your Heavenly Father, and He's taking care of it all. 

How do you do it?

   Simply by inviting Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior.  The Bible says that the whole reason that He came, the reason that He died was because you and I are sinners.  It says that there's not one of us who is born into this world who doesn't come into the world already with with sin in our hearts.  It's our flesh and our nature.  BUT, God made a way.

   He loved us enough that He gave His only Son, who died for us while we were still in our sin, and all we have to do is acknowledge our need for Him.  Invite Him to come in and you step aside.  We need to step down off the throne of decision making in our lives and say, "Jesus, You take up residence in me.  Teach me Your ways.  Show me how to live a life that's significant for you." 

WILL  YOU PRAY THIS PRAYER ?

  Don't be afraid to look at the magnitude of choices you've made in your life that were wrong.  It's okay. We've all been there and we've all done that.  Let God take care of that for you now.

   "Lord ... God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner.  Even though, with some of these things, I made decisions without having all the facts before me.  The truth of the matter is, I went my way instead of Your way. I did my own thing.

  Lord, right now I acknowledge that I'm done with that. I want to do it Your way.  I ask You to come into the center of my being.  I accept You as my personal Savior.  Forgive my sins Lord.  All of them from A to Z.

  Wash me clean as snow.  Make me Your child.  I accept this free gift from You.  I'm so grateful.  But, I know if I'm left with my own devices that I will continue to make the wrong choices so I ask You to also be the Lord of my life.

  Teach me Your ways. Open Your Word to me.  Live within me and give eternal significance to my life.  For Your kingdom's sake, teach me how to live for You.  In Jesus' name I ask these things. Amen.
